It is a short, free ferry ride from Galveston, or about 90 minutes from Houston by road.

The Beach Bungalows at Camp Margaritaville are brand-new 3-bedroom (1,837 sq ft) and 4-bedroom (1,909 sq ft) homes built inside Camp Margaritaville Resort, with the resort pools, Fins Bar & Grill and live music at Paradise Park steps from your door. The first keys are handed over in late October 2026, and most homes deliver in November. Both are good choices, but the Beach Bungalows offer beach homes near Galveston with a resort built around them.

Beach homes near Galveston: getting here

Take the free Galveston–Port Bolivar ferry from the east end of Galveston Island. From the Port Bolivar landing, drive east on Highway 87 to Crystal Beach. From Houston, you can also skip the ferry: take I-10 east to Winnie and Highway 124 south to Highway 87.
