Built new on Seaside Drive

Every home is built new by our own construction team on Seaside Drive, inside the resort.

What comes with the neighborhood

The homes sit inside Camp Margaritaville Resort, so owners have the resort pools, Fins Bar & Grill, Paradise Park concerts and the beach close by. A resort-managed rental program is available; rental income is not guaranteed.

Why buyers choose this stretch of coast: beach homes on the Bolivar Peninsula.

How the Beach Bungalows Are Built for the Gulf Coast

Every Beach Bungalow is a stick-built home framed on site, one at a time, by local crews working for MVCB Construction LLC. Nothing is factory-built or trucked in. Here is what goes into each home.

Certified FORTIFIED Gold

Every home is built and certified to the IBHS FORTIFIED Home Gold standard, the highest designation the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety awards. That means a sealed roof deck, enhanced fastening, impact-rated openings, and a continuous load path tying the roof, walls, and pilings together, with independent FORTIFIED evaluators inspecting each home at every construction milestone. We are one of very few builders on the Texas coast building to that level. Some insurance carriers recognize FORTIFIED construction; confirm coverage and any savings with your insurer.

Raised above the flood elevation

Each home sits on an engineered piling foundation designed for its homesite, with the lowest structural framing typically around 19 feet, above the FEMA base flood elevation of about 16 to 17 feet for this area.

Rated for coastal wind

Windows and doors are impact-rated for winds of about 150 mph and tested for windborne debris (Wind Zone 3, large missile). The standing-seam metal roof carries a Category 5 wind rating, and wall and roof sheathing are 5/8-inch engineered panels with stainless steel nails, thicker than the 7/16-inch code minimum.

Efficient and built for salt air

Homes are built to earn an Energy Star rating, with closed-cell spray foam under the home, open-cell spray foam in the walls and roof deck, a Henry Blueskin air and moisture barrier, and a Lennox heating and air system with corrosion-resistant coils.
