Salt air, humidity and Gulf weather are hard on a beach house. Our own team is responsible for maintaining the Beach Bungalows after closing, so we build every home to keep upkeep low and service calls rare. Here is what goes into that.

Spray foam insulation

Spray foam seals the building envelope as it insulates, closing the gaps where outside air and humidity sneak in. That means steadier indoor temperatures, less strain on the air conditioning and lower energy bills, which matters whether you are staying in the home or it is booked with guests.

Standing seam metal roofs

A standing seam metal roof has raised, interlocking seams and fasteners that are hidden rather than exposed to the weather. It sheds heavy Gulf rain quickly, holds up to sun and wind, and avoids the regular replacement cycle of a typical shingle roof.

A covered Trex deck and outdoor kitchen

Every home has a covered Trex deck with an outdoor kitchen. Composite decking does not need the annual sanding, staining and sealing that a wood deck does in the salt air.

Built strong first

Low maintenance starts with a strong structure. Every Beach Bungalow is built to the IBHS FORTIFIED Home Gold standard. Read what FORTIFIED Gold means.

Why the builder cares about maintenance

When the same team builds the homes, runs the resort and maintains the homes, every shortcut in construction would come back as a service call. So we don’t take them. Meet the builder behind the Beach Bungalows.
